Then, you’ll see a large box where you can paste your text or paragraph on the left side, or upload a document, and view the paraphrased results on the right.

You also have the option to choose different modes. The modes determine how you want your text to sound, for example, there’s Fluency, Humanize, Formal, Academic, Simple, and more.

You can also choose how many synonyms you want the paraphraser to use.

If you use fewer synonyms, your text will be more accurate. If you use more, it may be less accurate.

You can also find the best synonyms using an AI-powered thesaurus; just click on any word to see a list of suggested alternatives.

You can also use different languages. QuillBot currently supports over 20 languages in the paraphrasing tool.

After you finish your editing, you can either export or copy the text.

What To Avoid in the Paraphrasing Tool

You might be wondering what I mean by “avoid.” This only applies if you’re generating text, paragraphs, or any other content using tools like ChatGPT or Jasper AI, copying it, and pasting it into QuillBot’s paraphrasing tool.

I have some bad news for you—this is not a good idea.

Simply copying and pasting from AI writing tools can get you in trouble at school or hurt your blog post. While QuillBot does a great job paraphrasing text, it can’t always bypass AI detectors like Turnitin or Winston.

What’s interesting is that you can also specify the type of content you’re working on—like an essay, email, marketing copy, research paper, or business memo.

When you select a content type, QuillBot can tailor its grammar and style suggestions to improve your text.

This helps ensure that your writing is appropriate for its intended purpose.

Last but not least, QuillBot not only fixes your grammar but also gives recommendations, so you can learn from your mistakes.

AI Detector

With the AI Detector tool, you can check if your text was generated using an AI writing tool like ChatGPT. Of course, if you use your own words and write the text yourself, there’s no need to worry or use this tool.

But if you generate text using AI writing tools, the AI detector can help you out. Just remember, if you blindly copy and paste a paragraph from ChatGPT, don’t be surprised if the detector shows a 100% AI score.

Even if you copy AI-generated text into the paraphrasing tool, the output will still be detectable as AI.

This Free tool in QuillBot promises a lot.

With the AI Humanizer, you can copy your text from AI writing tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, and others with no edit at all, and it will automatically make it sound more human-like.

QuillBot promises to turn robotic-sounding text into more authentic and engaging language with minimal manual edits. The AI Humanizer improves the flow, makes the writing sound more natural, and helps reduce repetition.

You can also adjust the text, giving you even more control.

If that’s true, this tool is like gold. You can simply copy and paste whatever ChatGPT gives you, and it won’t get flagged by AI detectors or plagiarism checkers.

But let’s put it to the test. I will paste a paragraph from ChatGPT and humanize it.

After that, I will go to QuillBot’s AI detector tool and check if my paragraph is detected as AI writing.

This is the AI humaniser result.

Now let’s paste it into Quillbot’s AI Detector.

Unfortunately, as you can see, the results are not what we were promised. The text is still 100% AI Detectable even with the AI humaniser.

So again, this shows that no matter what, you shouldn’t just copy and paste text from AI tools. You always need to edit it properly before using it.
